Job Description

Senior Security Engineer position at Amazon Web Services focusing on maintaining high security and compliance standards while collaborating with various teams to innovate and deliver value for customers.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 5 years of experience with security risk management, vulnerability management, threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, authentication, configuration management, secure software development, cryptography, system administration, and/or network security
• 5 years of experience with security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, application, database, or storage security

Responsibilities

• Perform deep-dive technical risk assessments
• Secure architecture design
• Translate regulatory and compliance requirements into actionable technical guidance for builders
• Threat modeling
• Projects and research work as needed
• Security training and outreach to internal development teams
• Security and compliance guidance documentation
• Security tool development
• Security metrics delivery and improvements
• Assistance with recruiting, hiring, and administrative work as needed
