System Development Engineer, Ring Continuous Improvement

Job Description

Ring is seeking a DevOps Engineer to build enterprise solutions, automation, and tooling for its mobile service teams, working in a fast-paced and rapidly scaling environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• 1+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems
• 5+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, and operating systems
• Experience with at least one modern programming language like C++, Python, Java, etc.

Responsibilities

• Provide solutions, automation, and tooling for multiple service teams
• Administer, monitor, and deploy large scale systems and service solutions on AWS
• Collaborate with developers and engineers to integrate end-to-end design
• Automate deployment and maintain deployment pipelines
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for software releases
• Set up monitoring systems and manage log data
• Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues
• Write scripts and code to automate tasks
• Optimize infrastructure costs and work with containerization technologies
