Data Center Chief Engineer , DCEO

Job Description

The position involves being a part of a customer-centric company, working in sophisticated data centers to maintain critical infrastructure systems and implement new technologies.

Requirements

• Technical (Military/Trade School) training or degree in a relevant field (electrical, mechanical)
• 3+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
• 3+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary escalation point for all facilities-related issues
• Oversee operation and management of critical systems
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures
• Provide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians
• Create and deploy new standard practices
• Assist in the build out of new facilities
• Work outside of normal business hours for routine maintenance
• Communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience
• Collaborate with IT managers and other business leaders
• Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to
• Establish building performance benchmarks
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other tools for day-to-day tasks
