Payload Integration & Test RF Communications System Engineer, Project Kuiper, Payload Integration and Test

Job Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites providing broadband connectivity to unserved communities globally. The PIT RF Communications System Payload Integration and Test Engineer will collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team to design and test innovative solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or 5+ years of RF, satellite, aerospace, or related industry experience.
• 5+ years in RF design and/or verification with launched products.

Responsibilities

• Working within a project team for a high bandwidth, low earth orbit communications satellite constellation.
• Deep-dives into component and subsystem designs, collaborating with technical teams for system-level validation.
• Integrating RF communications system, defining test plans, and procedures for lab and RF chamber testing.
• Analyzing and mitigating potential system interference issues, implementing and optimizing RF lab set-ups.
• Configuring test equipment for automated operation, interpreting test results, troubleshooting issues, and documenting metrics.
• Shepherding payload subsystems through test campaigns from concept to implementation.
