Job Description

The Wireless Network Development Engineer will work on defining and delivering next-generation wireless solutions to improve availability for one of the largest wireless networks globally at Amazon.

Requirements

• 1+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell, and/or Perl experience
• 5+ years practical relevant experience
• Deep understanding of IP network fundamentals and packet capture analysis
• Experience with Wifi or other managed RF networks operations and engineering
• Analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Identifying, developing, and delivering technical solutions to improve wireless network technologies availability
• Partnering with peer teams to understand customer problems and find technical solutions
• Defining and monitoring the availability of network solutions
• Delivering solutions to reduce operational impact to customers and enable scalable, resilient services
• Investigating complex problems to identify root causes and provide corrective actions
• Innovating and automating infrastructure testing, deployment, and operations
• Developing automation to resolve wireless network failures
• Participating in an on-call rotation
• Implementing metrics to measure wireless availability and identify performance risks
