Innovation and Design Engineer, Worldwide Design Engineering

Job Description

Design the next generation of fulfillment centers and logistics systems worldwide, leveraging automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and robotics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or 5+ years Amazon experience
• 2+ years of experience in Design/Innovation Engineering, Manufacturing/Process/Industrial Engineering, or related
• Experience with ownership/management of engineering design projects involving Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
• Experience using business/technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software

Responsibilities

• Partner with internal and external teams to design cost-effective solutions for fulfillment and distribution systems
• Manage multiple projects from concept realization through design approval
• Act as the primary technical contact for suppliers
• Collaborate with Ops Engineering team for project installation and commissioning
