Field Retrofit Program Manager, Scaled Quality

Job Description

The Field Retrofit Program Manager position at Amazon Robotics involves developing and implementing retrofit and technology upgrade programs for field-deployed products to enhance product performance and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other STEM field
• 7+ years in product support, field service, or program management
• Experience with Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing
• Strong project management skills with experience in cross-functional leadership

Responsibilities

• Design and establish standardized processes for identifying, evaluating, and implementing field retrofit opportunities
• Create detailed implementation plans including resource requirements, timelines, and budget forecasts
• Develop technical documentation and work instructions for field service teams
• Manage retrofit kit development, including BOM creation and inventory planning
• Establish KPIs and tracking mechanisms to monitor program effectiveness
• Lead risk assessment and mitigation planning for retrofit programs
• Create and maintain communication protocols with customers regarding upgrade programs
• Develop training materials for service technicians executing retrofits
