Network Development Engineer, InfraComms: Backbone/Interconnect

Job Description

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Network Development Engineer to work on scaling and expanding their global network infrastructure.

Requirements

• 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience
• 4+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience
• 4+ years of optical transport (L1/WDM) experience

Responsibilities

• Provide critical network operations support to internal customers
• Conduct data acquisition to support service assurance and performance management
• Develop mechanisms for chronic circuit engagement and tracking RFOs
• Deliver solutions for maintaining carrier escalation matrices and contact details
• Influence carriers to adapt their ticketing systems to AWS requirements
• Build effective processes for service delivery and maintenance
• Create and review documentation, automate networking tasks, and deliver network reports
