Job Description

The Project Controls Manager (PCM) position at Amazon is responsible for managing technical construction project schedules efficiently and cost-effectively, delivering high-quality data centers and infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or equivalent engineering science degree + 10 years of industry experience OR 14+ years of related project controls experience
• Expertise in Project Controls Standards, including estimating, cost management, schedule management, progress measurement, change management, risk management, WBS/CBS/SBS, cash-flow, and benchmarking
• Experience in large-scale power distribution/generation systems, mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) plants, and general contractor and vendor management
• Ability to develop L4 project schedules utilizing project documents and Progress Measurement using EVM
• Fully bilingual (proficient in English plus one of the following languages: Spanish or Portuguese, both spoken and written)

Responsibilities

• Manage technical, cost-efficient construction project schedules for Amazon data facilities
• Lead project controls functions at portfolio, program, and project levels
• Collaborate with partner teams on budgeting and cost control processes
• Prepare management reports and summaries for project status communication
• Review, analyze, and recommend approval or disapproval of contractors' detailed schedules
• Anticipate and solve complex Project Controls problems
• Develop and maintain effective scheduling reports, cost reports, and forecasts
• Support Interactive Project Planning Meetings (IPPM) with stakeholders
• Perform field audits to validate accuracy of reporting and processes
