Job Description

Join Amazon Web Services as a Data Center Chief Engineer to work on maintaining and operating critical infrastructure systems in state-of-the-art data centers worldwide.

Requirements

• Technical (Military/Trade School) training or degree in a relevant field (electrical, mechanical)
• 3+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
• 3+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary escalation point for all facilities-related issues
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and troubleshooting within SLAs
• Provide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians
• Create and deploy new standard practices for Engineering Operations Technicians and vendor support teams
• Assist in the buildout of new facilities and projects to increase current facility efficiency
• Work outside normal business hours for routine maintenance and emergency calls
• Communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience
• Coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency
• Establish building performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on critical facility operations and maintenance
