Job Description

The Sr. Principal Applied Scientist position at Alexa+ involves building industry-leading conversational systems and Generative AI technologies to enhance customer experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent
• 10+ years of experience in machine learning and statistical modeling techniques
• Deep knowledge of Large Language Models and ML techniques
• Experience in algorithmic development, model training/testing, and software engineering
• Experience leading large-scale projects
• Experience in building distributed systems and online learning systems
• Strong technical and communication skills
• Experience with web-scale services and AI products

Responsibilities

• Drive Alexa-wide system architecture and design
• Lead cross-team projects and collaborate with various technical teams
• Build and deploy Multi-modal understanding & generation services
• Push the boundaries of machine intelligence in conversational scenarios
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of applied scientists and engineers
• Stay updated on AI research and incorporate cutting-edge advancements
