Job Description

The AWS Infrastructure Services team is seeking a Fleet Remediation Project Design Electrical Engineer to lead design projects for operational data centers, remediate issues, upgrade existing infrastructure, and add new services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ cumulative years of design experience with industrial or commercial engineering in Mission Critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation, oil / gas facilities.
• Experience with data center builds, network engineering, systems engineering.
• Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role

Responsibilities

• Design existing data center upgrades and design-solutions for added infrastructure, capacity, availability, and sustainability.
• Prepare/review short circuit coordination studies and maintain software models.
• Perform design and equipment submittal review for Data Centers in the region.
• Interface with internal and external data center design engineering teams.
• Act as a technical subject matter expert for given discipline during new remediation projects.
• Support construction, commissioning, operations, and turnover.
