Sr. BIM Software Dev Engineer, Data Center Design Engineering

Job Description

Join the AWS Data Center Design Engineering - BIM Technology team to innovate through new Building Information Modeling (BIM) and GenAI services for worldwide data centers facilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience developing custom BIM software and integrations with third-party API like Autodesk Platform Services
• 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 7+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical lead on cross-functional projects
• Translate functional requirements into robust, scalable solutions
• Evaluate and make decisions about the use of new or existing software products and tools
• Help establish technical standards and drive overall technical architecture
• Work closely with data center engineers, BIM technologists, and other end users to design experiments with machine learning techniques
• Mentor and guide junior engineers on design, coding, troubleshooting and operational excellence
