Security Engineer II, Customer Service Security Response Operations (CSSRO)

Job Description

The job involves being a Security Engineer at Amazon's Customer Service Security team, focusing on protecting customer data and interests from technical threats.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of work in related technical roles
• 3+ years of experience with cloud technologies
• 3+ years of experience using data analysis tools and technologies
• 3+ years of experience with incident handling/response

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on incident response & technical investigation lifecycle
• Respond to Incidents in a timely manner, providing leadership & guidance
• Conduct deep-dive investigations into threat and fraud abuse reports
• Influence service teams to develop systems and processes with security best practices
• Attend internal and external training regarding security engineering and response
• Find opportunities to improve from large-scale security incident investigations
• Participate in or lead post-mortem analyses
• Design & Build security-related services for internal customers
• Develop and mentor other security engineers, analysts, investigators, and software developers
