Job Description

Amazon Robotics is seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Engineer to work on system design, implementation, and release to manufacturing.

Requirements

• BS / MS Electrical Engineering (or similar field)
• 10+ years of experience in electrical, firmware, and system-level design
• Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures
• Ability to lead a technical team or team of electrical engineers
• Expertise in schematic entry, layout tools, and design for manufacturability
• Experience designing high-volume printed circuit boards with design-for-cost targets
• Extensive system design interfacing to a wide array of electro-mechanical subsystems and debugging experience
• Commitment to rigorous testing practices and design process flows

Responsibilities

• Execute product designs from concept to production including design, prototyping, validation, testing, and certification
• Lead and support a technical team on multiple projects in parallel
• Coordinate all activities within the engineering discipline for the project
• Ensure coordination with other disciplines is effective for each project
• Support product releases to manufacturing and customer deployments
• Establish development processes to meet industry standards for functionally safe control systems (IEC 61508)
