Network Deployment Engineer II, Amazon Dedicated Cloud

Job Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Network Deployment Engineer to build Amazon Dedicated Cloud regions as part of our Infrastructure Operations team.

Requirements

• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
• High school or equivalent diploma and 1+ years experience as a technician or engineer installing and/or troubleshooting network cabling and hardware in a data center environment
• Experience with small project scopes and ambiguous details within a relevant work environment

Responsibilities

• Clearly communicate project status and blockers to leadership and project management
• Manage cabling vendor activities and performing quality assurance activities
• Support Network Engineering deployment activities during scheduled change management windows
• Participate in the migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware
• Complete customer requests via Remedy trouble ticketing system and collaborate with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles
• Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including troubleshooting of network device configuration and low-level application interaction
• Deliver simple, sustainable, and repeatable solutions and processes and manage work and priorities through the ticketing system and workflow
