System Development Engineer, IOTA, Project Kuiper

Job Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband network connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The Infrastructure for Over the Air software delivery Engineering (IOTA) team owns the software delivery to all Kuiper assets, such as satellites and ground stations, and their configurations.

Requirements

• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
• Experience with Linux/Unix

Responsibilities

• Executing OTA procedures, troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing production software issues
• Developing tools, automation, and monitoring solutions
• Performing software maintenance and configuration
• Implementing fixes for internally developed code (Python / Go lang)
• Updating, tracking, and resolving technical challenges
• Improving operational excellence and readiness of the systems
