Data Engineer, Data Center Engineering Analytics

Job Description

Amazon is looking for a highly analytical Data Engineer to join the AWS Data Center Engineering team with a focus on data analytics and engineering solutions for AWS data centers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 1+ years of data engineering experience
• 2+ years of SQL experience
• 1+ years of experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Intelligence Engineering team members, engineering stakeholders, partner technical teams, and business stakeholders to gather business and functional requirements
• Develop mechanisms for retrieving and aggregating operational data from the AWS fleet
• Provide continuous recommendations for the use of data to solve specific business problems
• Take ownership of data reliability by performing deep-dives to find root causes of potential data anomalies
• Optimize the performance of data queries and ETL procedures
• Adopt best practices in reporting and analysis
