System Development Engineer III, Kubernetes/Serverless

Job Description

Amazon Web Services is seeking top industry technical experts to grow our team dedicated to expanding our Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) Container and Serverless offerings to government customers. They are looking for a talented engineer skilled in integration, Agile mindset, and DevOps philosophies, willing to decompose and reinvent systems, processes, and tools.

Requirements

• 3+ years of programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby experience
• 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ years of experience working with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration technology
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above

Responsibilities

• Discovering new ways to improve operations and leading development of new solutions to solve technically complex cloud issues at scale for customers
• Proactively driving solutions to system variances that will affect major services worldwide
• Diving deep into service inter-dependencies and region specific configurations to find the root of problems and increase service efficiency
• Optimizing maintaining the world's most advanced cloud computing infrastructure
• Studying and learning from industry recognized Amazon distinguished engineers
