Network Development Engineer, BERE Operations

Job Description

The AWS Infrastructure Services team is seeking a Network Development Engineer to join their Global Connectivity and Network Availability organization. The role involves working on the backbone enterprise and regional engineering team to develop, deploy, and sustain networking software tools for AWS networks.

Requirements

• 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience
• 4+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience
• 1+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl experience

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality network and/or systems operations, deployments, scaling, technology refresh, and best practices application
• Lead network projects in areas such as network sustaining engineering, deployment, scaling, technology refresh, and optimization
• Operate and troubleshoot network routing, interconnectivity, platforms, performance, and configurations issues
• Collaborate with network/infrastructure organization on network engineering and configurations standards
• Deliver simple, sustainable, and repeatable solutions and processes
