Design Engineer II

Job Description

The Design Engineer II position at Milwaukee Tool involves leading design engineering efforts in a dynamic, cross-functional environment to develop innovative solutions for the construction industry.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 2-3 years of experience in New Product Development or equivalent role
• Proficient in 3D Modeling and Drafting
• Working knowledge of FEA, ANSYS preferred
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes
• Highly motivated self-starter with agile mindset
• Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally

Responsibilities

• Act as lead design engineer within cross-functional project teams
• Collaborate with peers across various departments
• Establish test regimens and analyze data
• Interact with suppliers and support engineering changes
• Plan and prioritize technical project tasks
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers
• Balance workload on multiple projects simultaneously
