Senior Performance Engineer

Job Description

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Performance Engineer to work on at-scale AI system performance and datacenter applications, contributing to breakthroughs in artificial intelligence and GPU computing.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in accelerated computing for datacenter container computing solutions
• Proven understanding of accelerated computing software stacks and DL Frameworks (CUDA, PyTorch)
• Experience with modern Cloud and container-based Enterprise computing architectures
• Programming/scripting experience in C/C++/Python/Bash
• Experience with CPU architecture, container technology, and Linux based OSes
• Understanding of collective communication and patterns in AI workloads
• Experience supporting high performance computing or deep learning in engineering or academic research
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, teamwork, and analytical skills
• BS in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science; MS or PhD desirable

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of performance practices in large scale infrastructure
• Deliver tools to validate and improve datacenter products
• Align AI workloads with datacenter designs
• Provide continuous insights into AI workload performance
• Analyze and resolve performance or stability issues
• Engage with various software and firmware teams
• Develop best practices and tools for AI workload performance at scale
