Senior Software Engineer, Prediction and Planning - Autonomous Vehicles

Job Description

Join NVIDIA's Planning and Controls team to develop cutting-edge algorithms for behavior and motion planning in autonomous vehicles.

Requirements

• BS or higher in an engineering technical field (Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, etc.) or equivalent experience
• 8+ years proven experience in software development
• Good understanding and working knowledge of C/C++
• Familiarity with Python
• Comfortable developing in Linux or another Unix based system
• Ability to think analytically and tackle technical problems in a compute constrained system
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
• Excellent interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Develop reliable, redundant, and safety-critical algorithms for behavior and motion planning on highways and urban roads
• Architect, design, and implement new behavior planning features based on product driven requirements
• Test and validate the functionalities in various scenarios in the simulation environment as well as on the road
• Collaborate with engineers from other domains including perception, mapping, vehicle control, and user experience
