Senior System Software Engineer – Autonomous Vehicles

Job Description

The Autonomous Vehicles Platform team at NVIDIA is seeking a Senior System Software Engineer to work on designing, developing, and maintaining software for autonomous vehicles.

Requirements

• BS/MS or higher in computer engineering, computer science, or related engineering
• Excellent C and C++ programming skills
• 5+ years of proven experience developing and debugging multithreaded/distributed applications
• Strong knowledge of programming and debugging techniques for parallel and distributed architectures
• Experience with sensors such as cameras, lidar, radar, ultrasonics, IMU, GPS
• Experience with vehicle control interfaces
• Great communication and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Create and optimize software architecture and frameworks for real-world performance
• Develop sensor drivers, plugins, and processing functions around sensor data
• Perform in-vehicle tests, collect data, and analyze integrity
• Work with car teams and control teams to develop interfaces for self-driving vehicles
• Support data collection campaigns for the autonomous vehicle program
• Develop unit tests, documentation for features, and evaluate quality
