Remanufacturing Engineer II, Drive Unit

Job Description

Rivian is seeking a highly organized Remanufacturing Engineer II, Drive Unit to join their team in Kentucky. The role involves bridging process and test engineering procedures with technical operations teams to maintain remanufacturing capability of products.

Requirements

• BS+ in an engineering or adjacent technical program
• 1-3+ years working with mechanical systems, hand tools, and test equipment in a manufacturing or prototype lab environment
• Knowledge of EV powertrains and electrical systems
• Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical engineering drawings
• Experience with transmissions, differentials, and clutches is an advantage
• Practical hands-on experience with stress, strain, cracking, fatigue, and related failure mechanisms
• Experience programming in Python and/or Labview
• Experience with MS Office and Atlassian software environments

Responsibilities

• Ensure routine completion of procedures for each workstation and product
• Perform failure analysis projects and identify root causes
• Analyze test data, troubleshoot issues, and generate reports
• Support development and validation of remanufacturing processes
• Collaborate with internal engineering and test teams
• Own and maintain workspace, tools, and equipment
• Continuous improvement in the re-manufacturing process
• Communicate detailed steps taken to verify issues
