Staff Battery Test and Validation Engineer

Job Description

Rivian is seeking a Staff Battery Test and Validation Engineer to drive and execute testing of high voltage battery systems at their Normal, IL facility.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
• Minimum 4 years automotive or battery experience
• Experience with High Voltage Battery Testing
• Expertise with automotive test tools
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic software scripting abilities

Responsibilities

• Be the technical lead for lab personnel in executing tests on Li-Ion battery systems
• Initiate and drive the development of detailed test outlines and methods
• Provide detailed data analytics from testing
• Support root cause analysis and issue resolution
• Design and modify fixtures and instrumentation for testing
• Support design reviews and technical documentation
