Sr. Test Engineer, Powertrain

Job Description

The Sr. Test Engineer at Rivian works on system level Powertrain testing to drive innovation in test facility capabilities and develop robust testing methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a minimum of 3 years hands-on experience
• Experience in powertrain product development engineering within a test lab setting
• Strong analytical skills and ability to generate comprehensive technical reports
• Proficiency in utilizing automotive control module development software
• Experience in configuring AVL PUMA test automation systems
• Exceptional flexibility to thrive in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute system-level development and validation testing of electric powertrains and vehicles
• Transform complex test data into clear, concise technical reports
• Develop and align with test standards for data acquisition setups
• Maximize testing efficiency through advanced methodologies
• Define and implement electric drive unit test profiles within automated test scripts
• Proactively troubleshoot testing challenges and drive effective resolutions
• Contribute to departmental continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other Rivian teams
