Staff Automation Engineer (LabVIEW)

Job Description

Rivian is seeking an automation engineer (LabVIEW) to enhance automated station software and develop LabVIEW base software.

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years LabVIEW programming experience
• CLA or CLD certification a plus
• Experience with modular test instruments and National Instruments I/O Systems
• Experience testing automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN)
• Knowledge of computer hardware, communication, and bus protocols
• High level of interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment

Responsibilities

• Develop test automation applications in LabVIEW interfacing with National Instrument’s hardware
• Develop data acquisition and analysis applications
• Work closely with test engineer to ensure test equipment designs align with software and hardware requirements
• Identify, source, and integrate off-the-shelf solutions
• Direct activities of prototype build lab personnel
• Support technical root cause analysis and resolution of issues found during testing
• Participate in design reviews, requirement reviews, DFMEAs, PFMEAs, and Hazard Analyses
• Ability to use MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
