Sr. Mechanical Engineer, Closures

Job Description

Rivian is seeking an experienced engineer to design and develop Body Side Closures for their Electric Adventure Vehicles.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline (Master’s degree and significant experience is a plus)
• 3+ years’ experience in automotive closures development or equivalent industry experience
• CAD design experience for closures systems, mechanisms, structures, or related vehicle components
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of integrity

Responsibilities

• Lead collaborative development of closure's components and systems
• Responsible for component release for closure's components and systems throughout program lifecycle
• Manage cost and weight for closure's components and systems
• Coordinate supplier meetings, track, investigate and resolve issues related to design
