Job Description

The position is responsible for monitoring Paint Shop processes to ensure high-quality output in an Automotive or Tier-1 paint process environment at Rivian's facility in Normal, IL.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Automotive or Tier-1 paint quality or paint process environment
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering field
Ability to interpret JES (Job Element Sheets) and Work Instruction Sheets
Good written and communication skills
Capable of successful collaboration with other departments
Must be able to travel as needed
Motivated, self-starter, goal-oriented, and open to change

Responsibilities

Monitor and communicate internal paint quality metrics
Track critical specification items for various paint processes
Assist in identifying and eliminating quality-related issues within the Paint Shop
Interface with MES software for defect tracking
Maintain color harmony communication with suppliers
Lead in Defect Reduction Team activities
Drive Paint Shop issue containment efforts
Update quality documentation and communicate lessons learned
