Staff Sustaining Reliability Engineer

Job Description

Rivian is seeking a Reliability Test Engineer to strategically implement vehicle, component, module, and system reliability testing to ensure manufacturing reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering
• 5-10 years of industry experience in a reliability test engineering role
• Experience working in an automotive reliability test facility
• Experience with ongoing reliability testing and stress screening
• Expertise in root cause analysis techniques
• Proficiency in statistical software for reliability analysis
• Experience in failure analysis techniques such as optical microscopy and X-Ray
• Working knowledge of Python

Responsibilities

• Research and implement vehicle reliability testing
• Develop test methods and equipment
• Document and communicate test results
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve design and manufacturing processes
• Lead problem-solving activities
• Monitor and report test results
• Ensure issues in the field are captured in the reliability program
• Cascade reliability risks from design to control plan
