Senior Software Engineer, Service

Job Description

Rivian is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join their dynamic team and take part in the creation of the new Service team in Serbia.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, NodeJS, and RESTful API development
• Experience with AWS cloud technologies, particularly Lambda functions
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with messaging systems like AWS SQS
• Hands-on experience with DynamoDB and ElasticSearch
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable backend microservices and frontend applications
• Create and maintain RESTful APIs for efficient data exchange
• Implement and expose GQL endpoints using Apollo Studio
• Leverage AWS cloud technologies for building and deploying backend services
• Utilize DynamoDB, ElasticSearch, and other databases for storage requirements
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
• Implement message queuing services for real-time data processing
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Write integration tests/unit tests and participate in code reviews
• Create and maintain technical documentation
