Job Description

Rivian is seeking a Director of Software Engineering for their Commercial Technology group to lead a team in developing a direct-to-consumer technology platform.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in engineering leadership roles
• Deep expertise in modern web and app technologies, cloud platforms, and scalable architectures
• Strong product and business acumen
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor multiple engineering teams focused on consumer-facing products
• Develop and execute an ambitious technology roadmap under tight timelines
• Collaborate closely with other Commercial Tech Engineering leaders to ensure a cohesive cross-platform experience
• Hire, develop, and retain top engineering talent
