Lead Software Engineer - VAS (Vehicle Access Systems)

Job Description

Rivian is seeking a skilled individual to shape the next generation of vehicle access products by working on complex systems and collaborating with various software and hardware teams.

Requirements

• B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Strong collaboration and systems mindset
• Experience in BLE, UWB, C/C++ Embedded programming, RF testing, and PHY layer
• Hands-on experience shipping embedded products with wireless tech
• Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and concurrent systems experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic development environment
• Product-focused mindset to take ideas from R&D to production
• Experience with automotive systems, wireless networks, scripting languages, SIL/HIL, and automation systems

Responsibilities

• Design and build highly complex systems for new access features and improved functionality
• Shape hardware and software systems architecture for future vehicle generations
• Take ideas from concept to deployment in a production environment
• Collaborate with various development and cross-functional teams
• Work on vehicle access and other cross-functional initiatives
