Sr. Mechanical Design & Release Engineer, Restraints

Job Description

Join Rivian's Seat & Restraints Engineering team as a key contributor to drive the design and development of safety restraint components for Rivian vehicles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5-7+ years of full-cycle development and launch of automotive restraint systems
• Demonstrated ability to utilize Catia V5/V6 for 2D sectioning, 3D model creation, and detailed drawing generation
• Detailed understanding of component level design attributes and system level performance
• Working knowledge of FMVSS, ECE, NCAP and other automotive evaluation and regulatory achievements

Responsibilities

• Drive the design and development of safety restraint components for Rivian vehicles
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and key stakeholders
• Execute the design and development of products in Catia V6
• Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to achieve targets
• Support the design and development of DFMEAs and Product Validation plans
