Mechanical Design Engineer II - Seat Complete

Job Description

Rivian is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop Complete Seats Systems and components for their emissions-free Electric Adventure Vehicles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Masters degree preferred)
• CAD design & manufacturing process experience
• Strong understanding of physics application to systems and component engineering
• Systems approach to design and development
• Knowledge of GD&T standards
• Experience with FE analysis technique
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Complete Seats and their components for specific Rivian programs
• Implement latest technologies in materials, processes, and design execution
• Utilize CAE toolsets for product design optimization
• Lead component DFMEAs and validation plans
• Support Purchasing in supplier management and nomination plans
• Provide technical expertise for seating systems in cross-functional teams
• Coordinate design work for timely releases
