Rivian is seeking a CAD based mechanical design engineer to shape the physical design of electric vehicle systems

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (Masters preferred)
• 2+ Years of experience developing Automotive mechanisms systems
• Catia v5 / v6 operative skills
• Proven supplier management skills
• Generation of 3D geometry & sectional data
• Compliance with company procedures & quality standards
• Highly motivated with good logical reasoning

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and model mechanical and mechatronic systems
• Use Catia V5/3D Experience to develop high quality 3D parametric data
• Develop high quality 2D drawings and LD files
• Work with cross functional teams to develop high quality CAD
• Work with the studio team to provide feedback and generate high quality A-surfaces
• Come up with different CAD concepts for issues, detailed 2D sections and concept 3D CAD
