Sr. Mechanical Design Release Engineer - Structures

Job Description

Rivian is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to develop high-performance body structures for Electric Adventure Vehicles, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet safety, durability, and NVH requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
• 4+ Years of structural engineering foundation experience
• Experience working through a full product lifecycle from design through launch
• Previous success working with stamped and spot-welded structures
• Hands-on development with both steel and aluminum structures

Responsibilities

• Develop high performance body structures (Body-In-White)
• Collaborate with studio engineering to find technical solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to package components and meet performance targets
• Work with stakeholders to develop engineering solutions for vehicle Safety, Durability, and NVH
• Manage program-specific timing, DFMEA, and DVP action items
• Meet cost, weight, and tooling investment targets
• Work closely with manufacturing to ensure producibility
