Job Description

KLA is seeking a Systems Engineer to join the program, focusing on the design, development, and productization of advanced gas recovery systems.

B.S., M.S. or PhD in Physics, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience in system-level engineering, preferably in gas handling, vacuum systems, or semiconductor equipment
Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), sensors, and control systems
Familiarity with MBSE tools and methodologies
Strong hands-on skills in system assembly, testing, and troubleshooting
Proven ability to manage vendors and external partners
Experience with regulatory compliance and safety standards in industrial or laboratory environments
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Lead and contribute to the system-level design and integration of xenon recovery and vacuum systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, software, and process engineering
Design and implement electrical control systems, power distribution, gas handling, and vacuum subsystems
Work hands-on with hardware during prototyping, testing, and system bring-up phases
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards and safety protocols
Support the transition from prototype to product, including documentation, testing, and manufacturing readiness
Develop and maintain system-level documentation, including requirements, interface control documents, and test plans
Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and tools
Travel to customer sites for initial installation and escalations
