Mechanical Design Engineer (semiconductor/capital equipment) (E)

Job Description

KLA is seeking Mechanical Design Engineers to join their technology team. This role involves driving the design process from start to finish, including feasibility studies, modeling, and prototype testing.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years work experience in 3D solid modeling
• Minimum 3 years work experience in FEA, GD&T
• Strong background in the design of mechanisms
• Basic understanding of optical subsystems
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding fabrication, and castings

Responsibilities

• Drive design process from beginning to end including feasibility studies, modeling, and prototype testing
• Develop and track cost and schedule
• Generate detailed models and drawings using 3D solid modeling
• Conduct various analyses such as fluid, thermal, and vibrational
• Support system integration and testing
• Create assembly and test procedures
• Generate documentation and support release to manufacturing
