Senior Staff Optical Design Engineer

Job Description

Looking for a Senior Staff Optical Design Engineer to join the Broadband Plasma Division (BBP) at KLA to develop cutting-edge wafer inspection products.

Requirements

• Solid background in optics, physics, or related field
• Experienced in developing optical alignment, error budgets, and metrology for high precision optical systems
• Proficient in modeling optical performance using various software tools
• Detail-oriented and methodical problem-solving skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Own and investigate optical architecture and design options
• Collaborate with external suppliers and internal teams
• Translate system requirements into optical, mechanical, and metrology requirements
• Develop and implement optical alignment and metrology concepts
• Follow design processes, including testing, integration, and release
