Job Description

The Principal Manufacturing Engineer will drive advancement and innovation in manufacturing processes within New Product Delivery (NPD), focusing on early phase concurrent engineering to identify and eliminate process risks. The role involves collaborating with global cross-functional teams to enhance process knowledge, efficiency, and product quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 -10 years related experience in manufacturing or New Product Development
  • Effective change manager with proven ability to work with different business units
  • Experience with international work, factories, and teams
  • Proficiency in project management, organizational skills, and production systems knowledge
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills, understanding of lean principles, and experience with 3D modeling software
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced and agile culture, and handle constant change and competing priorities

Responsibilities

  • Drive early phase NPD planning for Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) function
  • Evaluate, propose, and implement improved manufacturing process planning
  • Drive improvements in DFM process and cultural change in PFMEA and Process Control Plans
  • Provide early estimates on manufacturing routings and capital requirements
  • Lead discussions for potential process automation and product design requirements
  • Track emerging technologies for consideration and adoption within manufacturing
  • Communicate project status, make presentations, and maintain a strategic mindset
  • Build and maintain a culture anchored on core values: Candid, Obsessed, Speed, Agility, and Urgency, Never Settle, Always Improving, Empowered leaders
