Metrology Engineer II

Job Description

Requirements

• College or Technical degree in a field related to Engineering or Science
• 3 years CAD 3D modeling and 2D detail drawing experience
• 3 years minimum of experience teaching GD&T or drawing checker
• Proficient in set-up and operation of inspection equipment
• ASME Y14.5 GDTP certification (Preferred)
• Proficient in mathematical applications- Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, etc.
• Demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
• SolidWorks 2023 or NX 2024
• Ability to investigate and learn new technologies within metrology
• Organized and able to balance multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong diagnostic and investigative skills
• Apply scientific method to isolate and resolve challenges within metrology

Responsibilities

• Quality and Inspection Planning
• Part Measurement and Part Qualification
• Metrology software experience
• Propose and develop gaging options for inspections
• Develop inspection fixtures
• Design Assistance and Training
• Maintain adequate training in metrology disciplines
