Cummins is offering a six-month paid and benefitted opportunity through the RePower program for experienced professionals looking to return to the workforce in the role of Product Engineering Specialist.

Requirements

• College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or appropriate STEM field is required
• Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area
• Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead product development activities and ensure alignment with technical requirements
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks to enhance product reliability
• Guide design decisions through simulation and analysis
• Manage product interfaces and integration plans for seamless system integration
• Lead structured problem-solving efforts and validate product performance
• Convert stakeholder needs into actionable requirements and promote knowledge sharing
• Gather input from cross-functional stakeholders for quality-driven product decisions
• Apply academic foundation and practical experience for confident decision-making
• Utilize engineering processes and tools to support high-quality outcomes
• Take ownership of projects and components, demonstrating initiative and leadership
• Lead process improvement efforts and provide mentorship within the team
• Operate as a recognized expert in the discipline or product area
