Staff Offline Perception ML Engineer, Perception, Autonomy

Job Description

Rivian is seeking a Staff Offline Perception ML Engineer to lead the development of offline perception algorithms and machine learning models for self-driving features of Electric Adventure Vehicles.

Requirements

• B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• 5+ years industry experience developing machine learning models for autonomy related tasks
• Experience in developing and shipping ML products
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong modeling skills with frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or MxNet
• Good knowledge of recent ML architectures such as CNN and transformer

Responsibilities

• Planning the roadmap and driving technical development of offline perception modeling
• Collaborating with ML engineers and software engineers to maintain stability and efficiency of data pipeline
• Collaborating with the ML infra team to enable regression testing for ML model deployment
• Constantly retraining or fine-tuning models and software to address performance issues
