Engineering Manager, Data Centers, Colocation Region Engineering- Eastern US

Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services is looking for an experienced manager with a passion for engineering to lead teams in delivering data center designs and operations.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline, or 10 years commensurate industry or military experience
• 5+ years experience of focused engineering team management in Data Center or Carrier-class Telecommunications design, engineering, and/or operations
• Business level English language skills

Responsibilities

• Conducting site assessments for collocation data centers and legacy facility upgrades
• Performing risk analysis for vendor-owned collocation data centers
• Influencing design and specification requirements to meet business needs
• Investigating root-cause failure analysis
• Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and municipal requirements and codes
• Collaborating with other teams to test and validate critical systems
• Supporting operations and business partners for performance analysis
• Traveling to Data Center sites as required
• Assigning and setting priorities for team deliverables
