Senior Applied Scientist , Automated Planning System

Job Description

Amazon Supply Chain is seeking an exceptionally talented Scientist to tackle complex optimization and forecasting problems for the EU/NA fulfillment network.

Requirements

• PhD or Master's degree with 6+ years of applied research experience
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning
• 2+ years experience with Stochastic Optimization techniques and ML for Probabilistic Forecasting
• Sharp analytical abilities and excellent communication skills
• Ability to handle ambiguity and fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer algorithms using Cloud-based software development techniques
• Build state-of-the art Stochastic Optimization and Probabilistic Forecasting algorithms
• Operationalize science solutions by partnering with internal customers
• Lead complex analysis and communicate results to leadership
• Research and apply the latest OR/ML techniques
