Job Description

Amazon Games is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to lead the implementation of innovative AI techniques for game development applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years in game development
• Proficiency in C++ and experience with game engines (Unreal, Unity, or proprietary)
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of robust, scalable, and reusable engine components
• Collaborate with Applied Scientists to translate research into production-ready game engine features
• Develop a reusable middleware layer for AI integration across multiple game projects
• Optimize AI implementation for performance and real-time requirements
• Contribute to the architecture and design of game systems leveraging AI technologies
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in software engineering
