Job Description

Amazon is seeking a Language Engineering Manager with extensive language technology experience to join their Artificial General Intelligence - Data Services organization.

Requirements

• Master’s or higher degree in a relevant field (e.g. linguistics, computational linguistics)
• 5+ years’ experience in computational linguistics and language data processing
• Experience programming in Python, Perl, or another scripting language
• 2+ years’ experience managing technical linguistic teams in the NLP field

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional team of Language Engineers
• Provide technical and scientific guidance to team members in tasks related to data creation and processing
• Lead improvement efforts to optimize existing data creation and sourcing processes or invent new ones
• Collaborate with science, engineering, and business partners on large-scale programs
• Support the career development of team members
