Senior Electrical Engineer, Wire Harnessing and Test Systems, Kuiper

Job Description

Amazon's Project Kuiper is a low Earth orbit satellite broadband network aiming to deliver fast, reliable internet globally. The company is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to ensure electrical integrity in spacecraft harnessing systems.

Requirements

• BS degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in design or systems architecture role working with wire harnesses and related test systems
• Experience with setup, control, and automation of lab equipment like spectrum analyzers, signal generators, etc.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and mitigation strategies for signal degradation, transient susceptibility, and EMI in test harnesses and test systems
• Define and validate grounding schemes and shielding approaches for sensitive signal lines
• Specify technical requirements for shielded vs. unshielded cable use, twisted pair implementation, etc.
• Partner with engineering teams to influence harness design and interconnects
• Serve as owner for root cause analysis of test harness anomalies
• Develop interface control documents, electrical schematics, and signal integrity standards library
